Omschrijving
TOEGANGSBRUG MET KEERMUUR OVER BINNENGRACHT. Toegangsbrug over de binnengracht, bestaande uit een recht plankier op houten jukken en steunend op de keermuur van de voorhof van het kasteel en op een driezijdige rode bakstenen keermuur aan de voorplein-zijde. De vlakken van laatstgenoemde keermuur hellen naar onderen iets uit. De brug is voorzien van een eenvoudige smeedijzeren balustrade. Brug en keermuur dateren in oorsprong uit het einde der 17e eeuw of het begin van de 18e eeuw. De brug is in 1972 gerestaureerd en toen in de situatie van voor 1890 gebracht (ophaalbrug).

Description
ACCESS BRIDGE WITH RETAINING WALL OVER INNER MOAT. Access bridge over the inner moat, consisting of a straight wooden deck on wooden yokes and resting on the retaining wall of the castle forecourt and on a three-sided red brick retaining wall on the forecourt side. The surfaces of the latter retaining wall slope slightly outward toward the bottom. The bridge is provided with a simple wrought iron balustrade. The bridge and retaining wall date in origin from the end of the 17th century or the beginning of the 18th century. The bridge was restored in 1972 and was then brought to the situation before 1890 (drawbridge).
