WESTELIJK BOUWHUIS. Rode bakstenen twee- beukig bouwhuis op rechthoekige grondslag onder met grijze Oud- hollandse pannen gedekt schilddak.
Het bouwhuis sluit de voorplein aan de westzijde af en rijst aan de noordzijde direct uit de gracht op. Aan de ZW-zijde kwam na ca. 1811 (Kadastrale minuutplan) de huidige rechthoekige uitbouw onder afgeknot schilddak tot stand.
Centraal aan de voor(oost-)zijde de oorspronkelijke inrijpoort van het in 1969 tot tentoonstellingsruimte heringerichte bouwhuis, bestaande uit een getoogde dubbele deur onder een zandstenen gebosseerde latei.
Aan weerszijden van de poort drie kloostervensters met zandstenen boven-, tussen- en onderdorpels en meerruitsvensters, met luiken voor de onderste helft van de vensters. Aan weerszijden van deze venster-reeks een deur met meerruits-bovenlicht en zandstenen bovendorpel en latei. In het kalf van de linker deur het gedeelde wapen van Van Ittersum- Bentinck met het jaartal 1687. Op de as van deze twee deuren en van de dubbele poortdeur een meerruits-dakkapel met luik (oorspronkelijk hooiluik) en tympaanbekroning. De gevel wordt aan weerszijden afgesloten door een kloostervenster als hierboven beschreven.
Linker(zuid-)gevel: in het uitgebouwde gedeelte vijf grote 6-ruitsvensters met luiken. Aan de achter(west-)kant van deze uitbouw eveneens vijf grote 6-ruitsvensters met luiken.

Description
WESTERN FARMHOUSE. Red brick two-aisle farmhouse on rectangular ground plan under a hipped roof covered with grey old Dutch tiles.
The farmhouse closes off the forecourt on the western side and rises directly out of the moat on the northern side. On the SW side, following ca. 1811 (cadastral plan), the present rectangular extension under a truncated hipped roof was created.
Centrally on the front (east) side the original carriage entrance of the farmhouse, which was converted into an exhibition space in 1969, consisting of an arched double door under a sandstone rusticated lintel.
On either side of the gate three monastery windows with sandstone upper, intermediate and lower jambs and multi-pane windows, with shutters for the lower half of the windows. On either side of this window series a door with multi-pane fanlight and sandstone lintel and upper jamb. In the panel of the left door the divided coat of arms of Van Ittersum-Bentinck with the date 1687. On the axis of these two doors and of the double gate door a multi-pane roof dormer with shutter (originally hay hoist) and tympanum crest. The facade is closed off on either side by a monastery window as described above.
Left (south) facade: in the extended section five large 6-pane windows with shutters. On the rear (west) side of this extension likewise five large 6-pane windows with shutters.
