Vrijstaande villa uit 1912-1913, in opdracht van J.F. de Vogel gebouwd door architect J.W. Hanrath in een historiserende bouwstijl.
N.B. De aan de achterzijde gelegen forse aanbouw uit 1957 is van bescherming uitgezonderd.
Omschrijving
Villa op complexe plattegrond, bestaande uit parterre, beletage en verdieping onder samenstel van met leien gedekte schilddaken. De in schoon metselwerk uitgevoerde gevels worden afgesloten door hoekblokken. De voorgevel heeft een risalerende middenas, bekroond door een tympaan waarin een halfcirkelvormig venster. De ingang op de beletage in de middenas is voorzien van een gesneden bovenlicht in een neo- Lodewijk XIV-stijl en wordt omgeven door een zandstenen omlijsting waarboven een balkon met smeedijzeren hekwerk. Het venster hierboven wordt omlijst door bakstenen pilasters die een rechte zandstenen kroonlijst dragen. De ingang is bereikbaar via een hoog bordes met twee flankerende gebogen trappen met natuurstenen treden en smeedijzeren leuningen, waartussen een ovaalvormig oculus.
Het middendeel van de linker- en rechterzijgevel is als forse risaliet behandeld. In de rechterzijgevel bevindt zich een zij-ingang, geflankeerd door pilasters.
De middenas van de achtergevel is als risaliet uitgevoerd, onder een afzonderlijk schilddak. Aan deze gevel bevinden zich een verspringende aanbouw, waarop een bordes met bakstenen pijlers en smeedijzeren hekwerk, een driezijdig uitgebouwde erker, waarboven een balkon met smeedijzeren hekwerk en links in de hoek van de gevel een erker, voorzien van Dorische halfzuilen.
De houten schuifvensters bezitten een kleine roedenverdeling in 18e-eeuwse trant. De rechterzijgevel heeft drielichtvensters met roedenverdeling, waarvan de middelste op de verdieping als rondboogvenster is uitgevoerd. De gootlijst rust op houten klossen. Het dak is voorzien van dakkapellen met vensters met roedenverdeling en driehoekige frontons, en hoekschoorstenen met siermetselwerk.
De oorspronkelijke structuur van het interieur met centrale hal waaromheen gegroepeerde vertrekken is met uitzondering van de kapverdieping nog aanwezig.
De bijbehorende tuin, naderhand gedeeltelijk verhard in afwijking van de oorspronkelijke groen-aanleg, wordt van de straat gescheiden door een ijzeren hekwerk op een lage gemetselde voet, voorzien van hekpijlers met een hardstenen dekplaat.

Description
Villa on a complex plan, consisting of ground floor, first floor and second storey under a set of hipped roofs covered with slate. The facades, executed in fair-faced brickwork, are terminated by corner blocks. The front facade has a projecting centre axis, crowned by a tympanum containing a semicircular window. The entrance on the first floor in the centre axis is provided with a carved fanlight in a neo-Louis XIV style and is surrounded by a sandstone frame above which is a balcony with wrought-iron railings. The window above is framed by brick pilasters bearing a straight sandstone cornice. The entrance is accessible via a high platform with two flanking curved staircases with natural stone treads and wrought-iron railings, between which an oval oculus.
The central section of the left and right side facades is treated as a substantial projecting section. In the right side facade there is a side entrance, flanked by pilasters.
The centre axis of the rear facade is executed as a projecting section, under a separate hipped roof. On this facade there are a staggered extension, upon which a platform with brick pillars and wrought-iron railings, a three-sided projecting bay window, above which a balcony with wrought-iron railings, and in the left corner of the facade a bay window, provided with Doric half-columns.
The wooden sash windows have a small glazing bars in 18th-century manner. The right side facade has three-light windows with glazing bars, of which the central one on the second storey is executed as a round-arched window. The gutter rests on wooden blocks. The roof is provided with dormer windows with windows with glazing bars and triangular pediments, and corner chimneys with decorative brickwork.
The original structure of the interior with central hall around which rooms are grouped is still present, with the exception of the roof storey.
The associated garden, subsequently partially hardened in deviation from the original landscaping, is separated from the street by an iron railing on a low masonry base, provided with railing pillars with a hardstone cap plate.
