Introduction DWELLING HOUSE, situated on the northeastern corner of the H.W. Mesdagplein and the Herman Colleniusstraat, built in 1909 as a private residence with office after design by the Groningen architect P.M.A. Huurman in Transitional architecture with elements of the Art Nouveau style. Internally of importance amongst others the hall in its original state with white marble floor, brownish-pink marble wainscoting, draught door with leaded glass and stucco reliefs in very refined Art Nouveau style and the broad stairwell with wooden balustrades, high cone-shaped balusters and leaded glass windows with geometric motifs.
