Inleiding TUINMANSWONING bij Villa Gelria, vrijstaand gesitueerd aan de noordwestzijde van de parkachtige tuin, gebouwd in circa 1895 in een ambachtelijk-traditionele bouwtrant. Het gebouw is thans in gebruik als woonhuis. Omschrijving Het karakteristieke gebouw is opgetrokken op een in hoofdvorm L-vormige plattegrond en telt één bouwlaag met zolderverdieping onder een zadeldak, belegd met dakleer. De gevels worden afgesloten door een houten goot met overstek en zijn opgetrokken uit rode baksteen en voorzien van een gepleisterde plint. Het gevelmuurwerk is verlevendigd met speklagen van gele baksteen en een doorlopende lijst van rollagen boven de begane grondverdieping. Het woonhuisgedeelte heeft een iets verhoogde kap en bevat aan de naar het park gerichte oostgevel een driezijdige erker met drie vensters. De vensters hebben segmentbogen met rollagen van afwisselend rode en gele baksteen. In de zuidgevel bevinden zich brede houten bedrijfsdeuren onder segmentbogen. In de zuidelijke topgevels zijn rondboogvensters aangebracht. De westgevel bevat een reeks gietijzeren rozetten. Introduction GARDENER'S HOUSE at Villa Gelria, situated freely on the northwestern side of the park-like garden, built circa 1895 in a craft-traditional architectural manner. The building is currently in use as a residential house. Description The characteristic building is erected on a plan that is mainly L-shaped and comprises one storey with attic storey under a gabled roof, covered with roofing felt. The facades are finished by a wooden gutter with overhang and are built up from red brick and provided with a plastered plinth. The facade brickwork is enlivened with brickwork bands of yellow brick and a continuous string of roll mouldings above the ground floor. The residential building section has a slightly raised roof and contains on the east facade facing the park a three-sided bay window with three windows. The windows have segmental arches with roll mouldings of alternating red and yellow brick. In the south facade are located wide wooden service doors under segmental arches. In the southern gable tops are round-arch windows placed. The west facade contains a series of cast-iron rosettes.
