Omschrijving KOETSHUIS bij Villa Gelria, vrijstaand gesitueerd aan de noordzijde van de parkachtige tuin, aan het einde van de door groene beuken omzoomde oprijlaan, gebouwd in circa 1895 in een ambachtelijk-traditionele bouwtrant. Het gebouw is in 1992 inwendig verbouwd en thans in gebruik als kantine. Aan de westzijde is een nieuwe serre aangebouwd, die buiten de bescherming valt. Het gebouw is opgetrokken op een kruisvormige plattegrond en telt één bouwlaag met een zolderverdieping onder een zadeldak met zinkafdekking (roefdak). De gevels worden afgesloten door een geprofileerde houten goot met fors overstek. De gevels zijn opgetrokken uit rode baksteen en voorzien van een gepleisterde plint. Het gevelmuurwerk is verlevendigd met speklagen van gele baksteen en doorlopende lijsten van rode en witte siertegels en vooruitspringende rollagen boven de begane grondverdieping. In het vooruitspringende ingangsrisaliet is een dubbele houten staldeur geplaatst onder een segmentboog met een gepleisterde omlijsting waarop de tekst: 't KOETSHUIS is vermeld. In de topgevel hierboven bevindt zich een houten deur onder een rondboog, geflankeerd door twee ronde blindnissen met rollagen met in het midden twee paardekoppen, die vermoedelijk van zink zijn vervaardigd. De vensters in de vleugels zijn segmentboogvormig gesloten met rollagen van afwisselend rode en gele baksteen en hebben hardstenen vensterbanken en houten luiken. Twee soortgelijke vensters bevinden zich in het noordelijk middenrisaliet op de begane grond. In de topgevel hierboven bevinden zich twee smalle rondboogvensters. Waardering KOETSHUIS, van architectuurhistorisch en typologisch belang alsmede van belang als functioneel onderdeel van Villa Gelria.

Description COACH HOUSE at Villa Gelria, situated freely on the north side of the park-like garden, at the end of the avenue lined with green beech trees, built circa 1895 in a craft-traditional architectural manner. The building was internally renovated in 1992 and is currently in use as a canteen. A new conservatory was added on the west side, which falls outside the protection. The building is erected on a cruciform plan and comprises one storey with an attic storey under a gabled roof with zinc covering (lead roof). The facades are finished by a moulded wooden gutter with substantial overhang. The facades are built up from red brick and provided with a plastered plinth. The facade brickwork is enlivened with brickwork bands of yellow brick and continuous strings of red and white decorative tiles and projecting roll mouldings above the ground floor. In the projecting entrance risalit is a double wooden stable door placed under a segmental arch with a plastered surround on which the text: 't KOETSHUIS is noted. In the gable top above are located a wooden door under a round arch, flanked by two round blind niches with roll mouldings with in the middle two horse heads, which are presumably made of zinc. The windows in the wings are segmental arch-headed with roll mouldings of alternating red and yellow brick and have ashlar window sills and wooden shutters. Two similar windows are located in the northern central risalit on the ground floor. In the gable top above are two narrow round-arch windows. Evaluation COACH HOUSE, of architectural-historical and typological importance as well as of importance as a functional component of Villa Gelria.
