WOONHUIS De Eekhof gebouwd in 1929 in de trant van de Haagse School en ontworpen door gemeentearchitect W. Hommes. Buiten de bescherming valt de (overigens met zorg uitgevoerde) na-oorlogse garage.
Omschrijving
Uit kubische bouwvolumes opgebouwd en in baksteen opgetrokken woonhuis, bestaande uit twee bouwlagen en gedekt door een platdak. Gevelopbouw met trasraam in rode steen, opgaand metselwerk in gele baksteen, vensteropeningen van diverse afmetingen; bovenlichten op de begane grond uitgevoerd met gebrandschilderd glas-in-lood. De verschillende bouwvolumes worden geleed en geaccentueerd door middel van rollagen, dunne zwart geglazuurde banden, toepassing van staand metselwerk en uitkragende gewapendbetonnen 'slabs'. Aan de oostzijde een licht uitkragende schoorsteen met keramische schoorsteenpijp; de schoorsteen staat op de overgang van een gemetselde gevelafsluiting naar een houten daklijst met overstek; in baksteen opgetrokken serre met plat voorzien van gemetselde borstwering. Aan de noordzijde een vijfkantige serre met plat voorzien van een deels opengewerkte bakstenen borstwering; entree met stoep en oorspronkelijke asymmetrische paneeldeur.

Residential house constructed of cubic building volumes and built in brick, consisting of two storeys and covered by a flat roof. Facade construction with clinker brick in red stone, rising brickwork in yellow brick, window openings of various sizes; fanlights on the ground floor executed with stained glass-in-lead. The different building volumes are articulated and accentuated by means of rolled courses, thin glazed black bands, application of vertically laid brickwork and projecting reinforced concrete 'slabs'. On the east side a slightly projecting chimney with ceramic chimney pot; the chimney stands at the transition from a mortared facade closure to a wooden roof edge with overhang; greenhouse built in brick with flat roof furnished with mortared parapet. On the north side a pentagonal greenhouse with flat roof furnished with a partly open-worked brick parapet; entrance with stoop and original asymmetrical panelled door.
