WERKPLAATS gebouwd rond 1890 in opdracht van het Ministerie van Justitie, naar ontwerp van W.C. Metzelaar.
Omschrijving
Haaks op de straat gelegen, een bouwlaag tellend gebouw op rechthoekige plattegrond. Het geheel is uit baksteen opgetrokken en gedekt door twee parallelle zadeldaken; goot op klossen; windveren. De beide zadeldaken worden gekoppeld door een plat tussenlid. Zijgevels met 20-ruits ramen met gebogen bovendorpel. Voorgevel met opgeklampte dubbele deuren met geheng, 6-ruits ramen waarvan een in de topgevel. Het platte tussenlid heeft 6-ruits ramen.

Situated at right angles to the street, a building of one storey on rectangular plan. The whole is constructed in brick and covered by two parallel gabled roofs; gutter on corbels; finials. The two gabled roofs are coupled by a flat intermediate section. Side gables with 20-pane windows with curved top dorpel. Front facade with clamped double doors with hinge, 6-pane windows of which one in the end gable. The flat intermediate section has 6-pane windows.
