Inleiding
BOERDERIJ gebouwd in 1937 in typerende Interbellum- architectuur. Opgericht in opdracht van Ir. J. Nijsingh, rentmeester der Staatsdomeinen, naar ontwerp van J. Boelens Kzn. uit Assen. De boerderij maakte onderdeel uit van de ontginningsactiviteit van de NV Het Landschap Drenthe. Deze in 1924 opgerichte Ontginningsmaatschappij kocht aan de oostkant van de gemeente Westerbork 2000 ha grond aan om deze vervolgens in werkverschaffingsverband door werklozen te laten ontginnen. De boerderij Wezuperweg 1 markeert de noordkant van de ontginning en houdt verband met de in het kader van de ontginningen ontstane bebouwingsstructuur van het naburige dorp Witteveen.
Omschrijving
Boerderij in baksteen opgetrokken met constructie van dekbalkgebinten en gedekt door een afgewolfd schilddak belegd met verbeterde hollandse pannen; het woonhuis heeft aan de oostzijde een lagere aanbouw onder zadeldak; schoorsteen en dakkapellen. Gevelopbouw met trasraam afgedekt door een rollaag en daarboven opgaand metselwerk. Woonhuis met asymmetrische voorgevel waarin rondboog deur; oorspronkelijke vensterindelingen met onder meer twee brede vensters met een breed raam in het midden en aan weerszijden een 6-ruits raam met vast kalf (bovenlicht als uitzetraam en onderlicht draaibaar), opmerkelijk zijn de brede houtenpenanten en de brede bovenlijst. Voorts heeft huis onder de uitkragende goot een rij van zeven 4-ruits verdiepingsramen, eveneens door brede houten penanten gescheiden. Schuur met steunberen tegen de zijgevels van de schuur; mest- en wagendeuren en betonnen 4-ruits stalramen; houten goot op klossen.

Introduction
FARMHOUSE built in 1937 in characteristic Interbellum architecture. Erected by commission of Ir. J. Nijsingh, manager of the State Domains, designed by J. Boelens Kzn. from Assen. The farmhouse was part of the reclamation activities of NV Het Landschap Drenthe. This Reclamation Company, established in 1924, purchased 2000 hectares of land on the east side of the municipality of Westerbork in order to have it subsequently reclaimed by the unemployed in a work-provision capacity. The farmhouse Wezuperweg 1 marks the northern edge of the reclamation and is connected to the settlement structure of the neighbouring village of Witteveen that developed as part of the reclamation projects.

Farmhouse built in brick with construction of tie-beam trusses and covered by a half-hipped roof covered with improved Dutch tiles; the dwelling house has a lower extension on the east side under a gabled roof; chimney and roof dormers. Facade construction with travertine window surround topped by a plinth band and rising masonry above. Dwelling house with asymmetrical front gable with arched door; original window divisions including two wide windows with a wide window in the middle and on either side a 6-pane window with fixed light (fanlight as horizontal-opening window and lower light casement), noteworthy are the wide wooden mullions and the wide upper moulding. Furthermore the house has under the projecting gutter a row of seven 4-pane storey windows, likewise separated by wide wooden mullions.
