Omschrijving
Inleiding

Description
Introduction
FARMHOUSE in its current form largely built around 1890 and belonging to the hall-house type with axial nave but within this group to be considered as a variant because of the design of the dwelling house. This probably has to do with the fact that part of the dwelling house was used for a long time as accommodation for collecting rent payments. The rear facade originally had, so before 1890, a different layout with presumably a recessed baander. The outbuildings are image-supporting but due to insufficient monumental values are not worthy of protection. Noteworthy is the simple and austere garden layout as well as the courtyard paving with field stones and clinker bricks.
Description
Farmhouse built in brick with anchor-beam construction, barn covered by a barrel thatch roof, partly with tiles underneath; owl board; the dwelling house is covered by a barrel tile roof (renewed with non-matching tile) and two ridge chimneys (with non-original caps). The barn has a symmetrically arranged rear facade with centrally a barrel-vaulted baander with walk door, on both sides a 4-pane stable window; stable doors; staple anchors. Western side gable with barrel-vaulted cast-iron 6-pane stable windows; east gable with semi-circular cast-iron stable windows and near the shrinkage an attached privy. The dwelling house has a symmetrical layout on the street side with a raised middle section; windows with rounded corners and profiled cornices. Centrally a panel door with nail and decorative grilles, above the calf a 2-pane fanlight; wooden balcony on matching consoles with opening double doors; on either side of the balcony a T-window. On either side of the panel door two 6-pane sash windows. The gable end is also symmetrically arranged with 6-pane sash windows and two 4-pane attic windows. East gables with two basement windows with theft-bars and a 6-pane sash window; cast-iron gutter on wrought-iron supports; an attached door with 2-pane fanlight.
Valuation
Farmhouse of architectural-historical significance because of the sober but representative design of the dwelling house and because of its rarity as a variant of the hall-house type.
