Vrijstaand appartementengebouw uit 1923-1927, genaamd Zorgvliet en in oorsprong als woonhotel gebouwd door de architecten A. Broese van Groenou en A. Alberts in de stijl van de Nieuwe Haagse School.
Omschrijving
In baksteen opgetrokken symmetrisch appartementengebouw op complexe plattegrond, bestaande uit een hoofdblok van vijf bouwlagen met kapverdieping en twee aan de voorzijde haaks hierop gesitueerde lagere vleugels. De kappen zijn met pannen gedekt. Het gebouw behoort tot de groep van luxueuze woonhotels, waarvan er meerdere tussen de beide wereldoorlogen in Den Haag zijn verrezen.
De invloeden van Frank Lloyd Wright en de Nieuwe Haagse School komen tot uitdrukking in de vlakke gevelbehandeling met hier en daar siermetselwerk, de groepering van de bouwmassa's en de overstekende kappen met flauwe dakhelling. Galerijen met bakstenen balustrade over de breedte van het hoofdblok en de vleugels benadrukken de horizontale geleding. Het gebouw maakt een villa-achtige indruk door het geleidelijk opklimmen in hoogte vanaf de zijvleugels naar het midden. Het hoofdblok wordt aan weerszijden afgesloten door twee hogere bouwvolumes. Op het naar beneden glooiende binnenterrein komen drie ingangen uit; een in het middenblok en twee in de zijvleugels. De laatste twee zijn gesitueerd in een vooruitspringend bouwblok dat het trappenhuis bevat.
Aan de achterzijde bevindt zich een vierde ingang. De iets verdiepte, gekoppelde vensters, in oorsprong alle van hout, bezitten voor het merendeel bovenlichten met horizontale roedenverdeling en rondom verschillende accenten in het metselwerk. De kap bevat een reeks kleine dakkapellen. Rondom het gebouw zijn bordessen met bakstenen balustrades.
Het diepliggende terrein wordt van de straat gescheiden door een ijzeren hek op bakstenen voet. De toegang wordt gemarkeerd door brede bakstenen hekpijlers.

Symmetrical apartment building of brick construction on a complex plan, consisting of a main block of five storeys with attic storey and two lower wings positioned at right angles to the front. The roofs are covered with tiles. The building belongs to the group of luxury residential hotels, several of which were built in Den Haag between the two world wars.
The influences of Frank Lloyd Wright and the Nieuwe Haagse School are expressed in the flat facade treatment with occasional decorative brickwork, the grouping of the building masses and the overhanging roofs with shallow pitch. Galleries with brick balustrades running the width of the main block and wings emphasise the horizontal articulation. The building creates a villa-like impression through the gradual increase in height from the side wings to the centre. The main block is enclosed on both sides by two taller building volumes. Three entrances open onto the inward-sloping courtyard; one in the central block and two in the side wings. The latter two are situated in a projecting building block containing the staircase.
A fourth entrance is situated on the rear. The slightly recessed coupled windows, originally all of wood, mostly possess fanlights with horizontal glazing bars and various accents in the brickwork all around. The sunken site is separated from the street by an iron fence on a brick base. The entrance is marked by broad brick fence piers.
