Inleiding
Rechterdeel van vrijstaand pand uit 1886 bestaande uit twee beneden- en twee bovenwoningen, gebouwd door architect Th. Coppieters in eclectische bouwstijl met elementen typerend voor de laat 19e-eeuwse badplaats-architectuur. Het bouwblok maakt deel uit van het Belgisch Park en is gelegen aan het Belgischeplein 31/32 en 33/34.
Omschrijving
Pand op rechthoekige plattegrond, bestaande uit souterrain en twee bouwlagen onder een met shingles gedekt afgeknot schilddak, drie vensterassen breed. De bakstenen voorgevel bezit gepleisterde speklagen en geblokte strekken boven de vensters. De hoek wordt gemarkeerd door een geblokte hoekliseen. Op beide bouwlagen bevindt zich over de volle breedte een houten veranda, voorzien van opengewerkte houten balustrades, pilaren en korbelen met gesneden versieringen. Dergelijke open veranda's zijn kenmerkend voor de laat 19e-eeuwse bouwwijze in de badplaats Scheveningen. De veranda op de eerste bouwlaag rust op gepleisterde pijlers. Toegang tot de veranda biedt een natuurstenen trap met ijzeren leuningen. De beide voordeuren zijn voorzien van panelen en bevinden zich in een inpandig portiek. De vensters bezitten T-vormige ramen en zijn deels als stolpraam en deels als schuifraam uitgevoerd. De rechterzijgevel is gepleisterd met ingekraste groeven. De middenas is als risaliet behandeld. Tegen de achtergevel zijn op beide bouwlagen serres aangebouwd. Geprofileerde lijsten scheiden de bouwlagen van zij- en achtergevel.

Description
Building on a rectangular floor plan, consisting of basement and two storeys under a truncated hipped roof covered with shingles, three window bays wide. The brick front facade has plastered spaced courses and blocked courses above the windows. The corner is marked by a blocked corner pilaster. On both storeys, a wooden veranda runs the full width, fitted with fretwork wooden balustrades, posts and corbels with carved ornamentation. Such open verandas are characteristic of the late 19th-century building method in the seaside resort of Scheveningen. The veranda on the first storey rests on plastered posts. Access to the veranda is provided by a natural stone staircase with iron railings. Both front doors are fitted with panels and are located within an internal porch. The windows have T-shaped frames and are executed partly as casement windows and partly as sash windows. The right side facade is plastered with incised grooves. The central axis is treated as a projection. Conservatories are built against the rear facade on both storeys. Profiled mouldings separate the storeys of the side and rear facades.
The garden is separated from the street by a wrought iron fence.
