Inleiding
Herenhuis uit 1888-1889, gebouwd door de aannemers G. van der Vliet en J.F. van der Vliet in eclectische bouwstijl. Het herenhuis vormt een symmetrische eenheid met het belendende pand Bankastraat 110. Tevens vormt het onderdeel van een lange reeks identieke herenhuizen, opklimmend tegen de helling van de Bankastraat in de richting van de Kerkhoflaan.
Omschrijving
Herenhuis op rechthoekige plattegrond, bestaande uit een souterrain en drie bouwlagen onder een plat dak. De bouwlagen worden van elkaar gescheiden door geprofileerde, gepleisterde cordonlijsten. De bakstenen lijstgevel is drie vensterassen breed, waarvan de linker als risaliet is behandeld en bezit een hardstenen plint. Het souterrain is voorzien van een geblokte bepleistering met rustica-effect. De hoek van de gevel wordt gemarkeerd door een pilaster met verdiepte velden. Het risaliet vormt het twee assen brede middendeel van de beide als eenheid ontworpen huizen en bezit een geblokte bepleistering. In het risaliet bevinden zich in een portiek twee overhoeks geplaatste voordeuren met hoge bovenlichten uit een latere periode, uitgevoerd in Amsterdamse School stijl. De deuren zijn bereikbaar via een hardstenen trapje met roosters. Op de eerste en tweede bouwlaag bevinden zich schuifvensters en op de derde stolpramen. De schuifvensters bezitten T-kozijnen. De gekoppelde souterrainvensters zijn voorzien van gietijzeren roosters. Voor de stolpramen zijn gietijzeren raamhekjes geplaatst.
Het gekorniste hoofdgestel heeft een gepleisterd fries met rechthoekige panelen en een tandlijstje. De kroonlijst wordt gedragen door paarsgewijs geplaatste triglyfconsoles.

Description
Townhouse on a rectangular plan, consisting of a basement and three storeys beneath a flat roof. The storeys are separated from each other by profiled, plastered cordon mouldings. The brick cornice-topped facade is three window bays wide, of which the left bay is treated as a risalit and features a hardstone plinth. The basement is provided with rusticated ashlar-effect rendering. The corner of the facade is marked by a pilaster with recessed panels. The risalit forms the two-bay-wide central section of the two houses designed as a unit and features rusticated ashlar-effect rendering. In the risalit there are two front doors placed diagonally opposite in a portico, with tall fanlights from a later period, executed in Amsterdam School style. The doors are accessed via a hardstone step with grilles. On the first and second storeys there are sash windows and on the third storey casement windows. The sash windows have cross windows. The coupled basement windows are fitted with cast-iron grilles. Cast-iron window guards are placed in front of the casement windows.
The corniced main entablature has a plastered frieze with rectangular panels and a dentil moulding. The cornice is supported by triglyph consoles placed in pairs.
