Omschrijving
BRUG ANNEX DAM MET HEK. Rechte rode bakstenen brug annex dam met rechte bepleisterde zijkanten, uit circa 1850. Deze zijkanten zijn door een naar de buitenzijden afgeschuinde hardstenen plaat afgedekt. Haaks midden op de brug een witgeschilderd dubbel smeedijzeren spijlenhek met vleugelstukken. Aan de zuidelijke aflopende zijkant van de brug wordt het hek door een smeedijzeren voluut beëindigd. Aan de noordzijde ontbreekt deze beëindiging thans.
Aan de oostzijde van de brug twee hardstenen conische naar boven licht uitzwenkende schampstenen uit het begin van de 20e eeuw.
De brug is over de ZO-zijde van de gracht gelegen en vormde voor circa 1900 de entree naar Backenhagen.

Description
BRIDGE ANNEX DAM WITH FENCE. Straight red brick bridge annex dam with straight plastered sides, from circa 1850. These sides are capped by a stone plate sloped towards the outer sides. Perpendicular in the middle of the bridge a whitewashed double wrought iron rail fence with wing sections. On the southern sloping side of the bridge the fence is terminated by a wrought iron volute. On the north side this termination is now absent.
On the east side of the bridge two stone conical guard stones slightly flared upwards from the early 20th century.
The bridge is located over the SE side of the moat and formed the entrance to Backenhagen prior to circa 1900.
