PIJLERS EN HEK. Dubbel smeedijzeren op de as van de oprijlaan gesitueerd hek, dat geflankeerd wordt door mergelstenen pijlers in Lodewijk XVI-stijl uit de tweede helft van de 18e eeuw. Het spijlenhek wordt door een dubbele regel iets onder het midden in twee velden geleed. Het onderste veld is van een extra reeks spijlen voorzien, die tussen de twee genoemde regels in een ruitvormig motief met ingezwenkte zijden wordt beëindigd. De geleding in twee velden door een dubbele regel is doorgetrokken in de vleugelstukken ter weerszijden van het hek; deze vleugelstukken zijn over hun gehele lengte van dubbele spijlen voorzien. Description
PILLARS AND GATES. Double wrought-iron gate situated on the axis of the drive, flanked by marl stone pillars in Louis XVI style from the second half of the 18th century. The bar gate is divided into two fields by a double rail slightly below the middle. The lower field is provided with an extra series of bars, which between the two mentioned rails ends in a diamond-shaped motif with curved sides. The division into two fields by a double rail is continued in the wing sections on either side of the gate; these wing sections are provided with double bars along their entire length. At the top, the gate and the wing sections are likewise closed by a double rail. Gate and wing sections are crowned by a top piece with volutes, garlands and trellis work.
The pillars on either side consist of a square base on a slightly wider square plinth; the base is closed by a cornice, above which a marl stone step pyramid.
