In 1934 naar ontwerp van P.J.Elling (1897-1962) gebouwd, ten opzichte van de Provinciale Grindweg overhoeks geprojecteerd, vrijstaand WOONHUIS met de algemene kenmerken van de Nederlandse bijdrage aan het Nieuwe Bouwen uit de periode 1920-1940 en volgens het oorspronkelijke plan bedoeld voor een gezin bestaande uit ouderpaar met twee kinderen.
Oorspronkelijke kleurstelling: wit voor de muren en zilvergrijs voor de stalen profielen.
Gebouw op rechthoekige plattegrond, opgetrokken uit witgesausde traditioneel verwerkte donkere baksteen en samengesteld uit een met ruim overstek vlakgedekt rechthoekig hoofdblok waarin, volgens het ontwerp ondergebracht, woonkamer, werkkamer, keuken en hal beganegronds en drie slaapkamers, badkamer en overloop op de verdieping en een eveneens rechthoekig en vlak, doch met gering overstek gedekt en ten opzichte van het hoofdblok lager en terugspringend, nevenblok waarin ondermeer ondergebracht bijkeuken en toilet beganegronds en een logeerkamer op de verdieping. Aan de NW-gevel aangebouwd rechthoekig terras.
Het vlakgedekte uit, met uitzondering van de plint, lichtgesausde baksteen opgetrokken gebouw heeft over beide bouwlagen, voor wat betreft de NW-, ZW- en ZO-gevels van het hoofdblok, voor het Nieuwe Bouwen kenmerkende grote in stalen profielen gevatte openslaande ramen (waarvan die op de verdieping met borstwering) met een vaste onderlinge verhouding; de ramen op de Z- en W-hoeken zijn omgaand; het keukenraam in de NW-gevel volgens dezelfde principes, doch met een andere verhouding in de indeling; hoog, liggend raam in de NO-gevel; het aangebouwde terras voorzien van een in stalen frame gevat glazen windscherm waarboven een door een frame van stalen buizen afgezet balkon.
Het nevenblok voorzien van eveneens op dezelfde principes gebaseerde, doch van verschillende afmeting en samenstelling; rond wc-venster; voor- en bijkeukendeur.
Woonhuis, vanwege de algehele architectonische en technische vormgeving, met name wat betreft het exterieur, en vanwege de vrije op de natuur gerichte ligging, ondanks het traditionele gebruik van baksteen als representatief voorbeeld van de Nederlandse bijdrage aan het Nieuwe Bouwen uit de periode 1920-1940, van algemeen belang wegens de betekenis voor de ontwikkeling van de moderne Nederlandse architectuur.

Built in 1934 to a design by P.J.Elling (1897-1962), projected at an angle to the Provinciale Grindweg, detached DWELLING HOUSE with the general characteristics of the Dutch contribution to the Nieuwe Bouwen from the period 1920-1940 and according to the original plan intended for a family consisting of a couple with two children.
Original colour scheme: white for the walls and silver grey for the steel profiles.
Building on a rectangular plan, constructed from white-sanded traditionally worked dark brick and composed of a flat-roofed rectangular main block with generous overhang in which, according to the design, living room, study, kitchen and hall on the ground floor and three bedrooms, bathroom and landing on the storey above and an equally rectangular and flat, but with slight overhang roofed and in relation to the main block lower and recessed, side block in which are housed among other things scullery and toilet on the ground floor and a guest bedroom on the storey above. Attached to the NW gable a rectangular terrace.
The flat-roofed building, constructed of, with the exception of the plinth, light-sanded brick, has over both storeys, as far as the NW, SW and SE gables of the main block are concerned, large opensash windows characteristic of the Nieuwe Bouwen set in steel profiles (those on the storey above with apron wall) with a fixed mutual proportion; the windows on the S and W corners are wraparound; the kitchen window in the NW gable according to the same principles, but with a different proportion in the subdivision; tall, horizontal window in the NE gable; the attached terrace provided with a glazed wind screen set in a steel frame above which a balcony marked off by a frame of steel tubing.
The side block provided with likewise based on the same principles, but of different dimension and composition; round WC window; front and scullery door.
Dwelling house, because of the overall architectural and technical design, particularly as regards the exterior, and because of its free nature-oriented situation, despite the traditional use of brick as a representative example of the Dutch contribution to the Nieuwe Bouwen from the period 1920-1940, of general importance because of its significance for the development of modern Dutch architecture.
