The register's description

Built in 1932 according to the principles of the Nieuwe Bouwen to a design by G.Th. Rietveld for Dr. C. Nuyens, constructed in brick, rendered white, detached, flat-roofed DWELLING HOUSE with - at the front recessed in relation to the ground floor - one storey above and on a rectangular plan with on the front right a projecting flat-roofed garage.

On the front on the projecting section of the ground floor and the garage there is a balcony (railing renewed in 1977); on the front right on the roof an extension dating from 1950 of an originally small flat-roofed roof room at the very right in the middle of the roof; beside the roof stair a chimney renewed in 1977 in fair-faced brickwork; on the rear right on the storey above a flat-roofed extension (originally balcony); large and smaller, asymmetrically arranged, set in the gable plane windows (combined with doors) with narrow steel frames and "glazing bars". (On the ground floor the ratio height : width of the wall openings is 3 : 2, 1 : 3, 3 : 1 and 4 and 5, 2 : 1, 3 : 1 and 2, 2 : 3 and 3 : 2 and 3, and of the subdivision of these openings 1 : 1 (fanlights and windows) and 2 : 1 (doors and lower windows). On the storey above this ratio for the wall openings is 3 : 1 and 4, 2 : 2, 1 : 2 and 2 : 3, and for the subdivision 2.5 : 1 (balcony doors at front), 1.5 : 1 and 1.5 : 2 (lower windows) and 0.5 : 1 (fanlights and window opening 1 : 2 at rear).

Internally: apart from the removal of a single partition wall, the original traditional layout is still present.

In 1977 the house was thoroughly restored.

Because of the overall design of the exterior in particular and the situation, the aforementioned dwelling house - despite some damage (chimney; balcony railing) and alterations, the partly still traditional material use (brick) and the traditional layout - is as a representative example of the Dutch contribution to the Nieuwe Bouwen from the period 1920-1940 of general importance because of its significance for the development of modern architecture.
