Markant gelegen stellingmolen, wat betreft de huidige verschijningsvorm 19e-eeuws, maar in aanleg wellicht ouder. De ontmanteling vond plaats omstreeks de jaren zestig van de 20e eeuw; de gietijzeren bovenas werd in 1968 aangebracht in zaagmolen 'de Rat' in IJlst (Fr). Het inwendige van de molen is gedeeltelijk aangepast aan de functie van silo. De aanbouw valt buiten de bescherming.

Molen nog bestaande uit een gave uit bruinrode handvormbaksteen opgetrokken achtkante onderbouw met steunberen en een met riet bekleed grenen achtkant; hierop ligt nog de eiken glijzing van het kruiwerk; het geheel wordt afgedekt door een nagenoeg plat dak. In het inwendige bevinden zich nog drie ijzerbalken, een steenspil, twee pasbalken en twee steenschijven.

Introduction
Prominently located grain elevator mill, as to its current appearance 19th-century, but possibly older in conception. The dismantling took place around the nineteen-sixties; the cast-iron main shaft was installed in 1968 in the sawmill 'de Rat' in IJlst (Fr). The interior of the mill has been partially adapted to the function of silo. The extension falls outside the protection.
Description
Mill still consisting of a sound octagonal substructure built of reddish-brown handmade brick with buttresses and a reedthatched pine octagon; on this lies the oak sliding bearing of the turning gear; the whole is covered by a nearly flat roof. In the interior, there are still three iron beams, a stone spindle, two main beams and two stone wheels.
