Inleiding.
Aan een binnenterrein gelegen voormalig pakhuis in sobere neo-renaissance, thans in gebruik als woonhuis, gebouwd in 1875 voor de kruidenier Leonardus Georgius Waterreus, koopman in comesetibles en thee. Sinds circa 1861 was hij gevestigd op het aangrenzende pand met erf Noordeinde 62. Het pakhuis zal bij de daar gedreven winkel in gebruik zijn geweest. Het pand is opgenomen in de straatwand met aaneengesloten bebouwing. Omschrijving.
Voormalig pakhuis op rechthoekige plattegrond bestaande uit kelder, parterre, twee verdiepingen en een zolderverdieping onder een met pannen gedekt zadeldak. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in schoon metselwerk; de zijgevels zijn blind uitgevoerd. De voorgevel, een later zwart gesausde drie-assige tuitgevel, bevat brede rondboogvensters in de middenas (luiken vervangen door glasdeuren; bovenlichten met oorspronkelijke ster- en lobvormige roedeverdeling); in de zijassen kleinere vensters. De waterlijsten, dorpels en sluitstenen zijn van natuursteen. Boven de vensters is gele baksteen toegepast, evenals voor het oplopend fries in de top. De top heeft natuurstenen afdeklijsten en een smeedijzeren sierstuk. Voorts zijn er jaartal-ankers. Roosters voor de gevel bedekken de drie lichtkolken van de kelder. Tegen de linkerzijgevel is later een uitgebouwde schoorsteen opgemetseld. De achtergevel is een bakstenen tuitgevel. In de jaren zeventig en tachtig zijn de oorspronkelijke ongedeelde ruimten verbouwd tot woonruimte. Waardering.

Former warehouse on rectangular floor plan consisting of cellar, ground floor, two floors and an attic storey under a gabled roof covered with tiles. The facades are built in fair-faced brickwork; the side facades are blank. The front facade, a later black-sauced three-bay spout gavel, contains wide round-arched windows in the central bay (shutters replaced by glass doors; fanlights with original star- and lobe-shaped glazing bars); in the side bays smaller windows. The drip mouldings, sills and keystones are of natural stone. Above the windows yellow brick is used, likewise for the rising frieze at the top. The top has natural stone edging strips and a wrought-iron ornamental piece. Furthermore there are date anchors. Grilles for the facade cover the three light wells of the cellar. Against the left side facade a protruding chimney was later built. The rear facade is a brick spout gable. In the seventies and eighties the original undivided spaces were converted to living space.
