Inleiding.
Winkel-woonhuis van 18e-eeuwse oorsprong met 17e-eeuwse onderkeldering en winkelinterieur in eclectische stijl uit 1882. Het pand is opgenomen in de straatwand met aaneengesloten bebouwing. NB. Een grote zaalvormige ruimte die in deze eeuw aan de achterzijde is aangebouwd valt buiten de bescherming. Omschrijving.
18e eeuws pand bestaande uit een voor- en achterhuis met een 17e-eeuwse onderkeldering van het voorhuis. Het pand telt drie bouwlagen onder kap. In de 19e eeuw is tegen de achtergevel het pand aan de linkerzijde uitgebreid; dit deel loopt achter het pand Molenstraat 21/21a door. De 18e-eeuwse voorgevel is een eenvoudige bakstenen lijstgevel met houten kroonlijst, twee vensterassen breed met T-vensters op de 1e verdieping en stolpramen met bovenlichten op de 2e verdieping. Het ruitvormige glas-in-lood van de vensters op de 2e verdieping is vrij recent aangebracht. De houten eclectische winkelpui werd in 1882 bij een verbouwing in de gevel geplaatst en toont de traditionele opbouw van pilasters, plint en hoofdgestel. Toen werd in het pand een vioolwinkel en werkplaats gevestigd. Het winkelinterieur uit die tijd is grotendeels bewaard gebleven en omvat onder meer ladenkasten en vitrinekasten. Het plafond bezit eclectisch stucwerk. Op de eerste verdieping heeft het huis rond 1875 eveneens een gedaanteverwisseling ondergaan: een voorkamer over de breedte en een achterkamer met marmeren schoorsteenmantel: de kamers bezitten eclectische stucplafonds en zijn verbonden door schuifdeuren. De trap die naar de verdieping leidt, dateert uit de eerste helft van de 18e eeuw en heeft op de overloop de oorspronkelijke eiken balusters behouden. De tweede verdieping is vrijwel gaaf 18e eeuws met onder meer eenvoudige stroken-deuren. De kap is op vlieringniveau in 1938 geheel vernieuwd. In de kelder onder het voorhuis zijn een 17e-eeuwse schouw, kast en pomp. Waardering.

In the 19th century the building was extended on the left side against the rear facade; this part runs behind the building Molenstraat 21/21a. The 18th-century front facade is a simple brick cornice-topped facade with wooden cornice, two bays wide with T-windows on the 1st floor and casement windows with fanlights on the 2nd floor. The diamond-patterned leaded glass of the windows on the 2nd floor was applied fairly recently. The wooden eclectic shop front was placed in the facade during a renovation in 1882 and shows the traditional structure of pilasters, plinth and main cornice. At that time a violin shop and workshop were established in the building. The shop interior from that period has been largely preserved and includes among other things drawer cabinets and display cabinets. The ceiling features eclectic stuccowork.
