Inleiding.
Eenbeukig neo-gotisch kerkgebouw uit 1860-1861 ontworpen door H. Wentzel uit Berlijn in opdracht van de Deutsche Evangelische Gemeinde. De kerk is met de voorgevel opgenomen in de straatwand; aan de achterzijde de bijbehorende pastorie. Omschrijving.
De Deutsche Evangelische Kirche is in baksteen opgetrokken onder een met pannen gedekt schilddak loodrecht op de rooilijn. Direct aansluitend aan de zaalkerk is tegen de achterzijde de pastorie gesitueerd. Deze wordt gedekt door een met pannen gedekte samengestelde kap met de nok evenwijdig aan de rooilijn. De voorgevel aan de straatzijde eindigt als trapgevel met pinakelbekroningen. Direct hierachter is de bakstenen toren gesitueerd. De onderbouw ervan is vierkant met op elke hoek pinakels. In de achthoekige bovenbouw met steunberen zijn de galmgaten opgenomen, voorzien van hardstenen neo-gotische omlijstingen met driepassen in de top. De met lood beklede torenspits is voorzien van hogels. In de voorgevel zijn drie spitsboogvensters met daarboven een roosvenster. De vensterharnassen bestaan uit gietijzer. De ingangspartij heeft een deur met rijk siersmeedwerk. Het portaal wordt bekroond door een wimberg. De zij- en achtergevels zijn in sober strak metselwerk opgetrokken. In de rechterzijgevel zijn drie hoge neo-gotische spitsboogvensters met traceringen die de lichtinval in de kerkruimte verzorgen; het achterste deel van deze zijgevel en de achtergevel hebben houten schuifvensters met roedenverdeling. Het interieur van de eenbeukige kerkruimte is in de trant van de stucadoorsgotiek uitgevoerd. De houten ribgewelven en de bladkapitelen zijn gestucadoord. De neo-gotische inventaris is grotendeels bewaard gebleven. Het betreft ondermeer altaar, preekstoel, herenbank met overhuiving en lambrizering. Het neo-gotische orgel uit 1870 is vervaardigd door P.
