Omschrijving
ZONNEWIJZER OP SOKKEL. Zandstenen zonnewijzer met bijbehorende zandstenen sokkel uit de tweede helft van de 18e eeuw. De zonnewijzer is kubusvormig, waarbij de hoekpunten van de kubus tot driehoekige vlakken zijn afgeschuind, zodat er een 14-vlakkige kubusvorm van 4 vierkante verticale, 2 vierkante horizontale en 8 schuine driehoekige vlakken ontstond. De sokkel bestaat uit een geprofileerd voetstuk, een boogvormig en haaks inzwenkend tussenstuk en een voluutvormige buik.
De zonnewijzer, die bijna identiek is aan het exemplaar op De Wiersse (te Vorden), staat in het hart van het cirkelvormige gazon op het voorplein opgesteld.

Description
SUNDIAL ON PEDESTAL. Stone sundial with accompanying stone pedestal from the second half of the 18th century. The sundial is cube-shaped, the corners of the cube having been chamfered to triangular planes, creating a 14-faced cube form of 4 square vertical, 2 square horizontal and 8 slanting triangular planes. The pedestal consists of a moulded base, an arch-shaped and right-angled transitional section and a scroll-shaped body.
The sundial, which is almost identical to the specimen at De Wiersse (at Vorden), is positioned in the heart of the circular lawn on the forecourt.
