Omschrijving
Enveloppe, onderdeel van het verdedigingswerk vesting Muiden, deel uitmakend van de Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie. De enveloppe bestaat uit een aanleg van een aarden kade.
De kade volgt het beloop van de buitenboordzijde van de gracht vanaf de Oostzeedijk, met de klok mee tot aan het ravelijn voor courtine XI-X nabij de Vecht. De kade heeft een kruin van twee tot vier meter breed. Aan de buitenboordzijde van de gracht, voor courtine X-XI ligt nog een restant van de enveloppe.

Description
Envelope, part of the defensive work Muiden fortress, part of the Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie. The envelope consists of an arrangement of an earthen embankment.
The embankment follows the course of the outer bank side of the moat from the Oostzeedijk, clockwise to the ravelin in front of curtain XI-X near the Vecht. The embankment has a crest of two to four metres wide. On the outer bank side of the moat, in front of curtain X-XI there is still a remnant of the envelope.
