Omschrijving
BRUG BIJ KASTEELPOORT. Rode bakstenen over de buitengracht gelegen 18e-eeuwse rondboogbrug, die in het verlengde van de kasteelpoort is gesitueerd. De brug is voorzien van een smeedijzeren spijlen-balustrade uit ca. 1900, die door een rechthoekig vak met sierlijke ruiten en voluten wordt afgesloten.
De balustrade is geplaatst tussen bakstenen blokpijlers, die door een hardstenen geprofileerde plaat worden afgedekt. De aan de parkzijde gelegen pijlers worden onderaan de buitenzijden door een steunbeer gestut, die tevens de wal van het kasteelterrein naar de buitengracht keert.
Via twee bakstenen door een ezelsrug bekroonde borstweringen staat de brug in verbinding met de kasteelpoort. Deze borstweringen keren tevens de oprit naar het lager buitengrachts gelegen gedeelte van het kasteelterrein (thans neo-formele buxus-tuin en moestuin). Aan de NW-zijde wordt de noordwestelijke borstwering door steunberen gestut.

Description
BRIDGE BY CASTLE GATE. Red brick round-arch bridge of the 18th century spanning the outer moat, situated in line with the castle gate. The bridge is fitted with a wrought iron railing with balusters from approximately 1900, which is closed off by a rectangular section with ornamental panes and volutes.
The balustrade is placed between brick block piers, which are covered by a profiled sandstone slab. The piers located on the park side are supported at the outer bases by a buttress, which also retains the wall of the castle terrain towards the outer moat.
Via two brick parapets crowned by a saddle back the bridge connects with the castle gate. These parapets also retain the ramp to the lower outer-moat situated section of the castle terrain (now neo-formal box garden and vegetable garden). On the NW side the north-western parapet is supported by buttresses.
