Omschrijving
Achttiende-eeuws koetshuis met bovenwoning op sterk gerende plattegrond, bestaande uit twee bouwlagen met afgeplat zadeldak loodrecht op de straat met voorschild.
De brede lijstgevel aan de voorzijde heeft zijn twee forse inrijpoorten met oude deuren bewaard en bevat links een smalle deur, met omlijsting met afgeschuinde bovenhoeken, ten behoeve van de bovenwoning. De vrij gesloten verdieping heeft slechts twee vensters.
Het pand ligt met zijn smalle achtergevel tegen het talud van de wal van de stadsbuitengracht die de beganegrond afsluit. De verdieping ligt vrij boven de wal en is twee traveeën breed.
Naast en tussen de twee vensters bevinden zich drie pilasters. De lijn van fronton en zijden wordt benadrukt door een waterlijst. Hoewel het dak afgeplat is, wordt de achtergevel bekroond door een geheel houten mansarde-topgevel in empirestijl.
Het pand maakt deel uit van een rij die tegen de wal gebouwd is, een bijzondere situatie die mogelijk was doordat de 'stadssteeg', die de stadszijde van de wal volgde, in de Nobeldwarsstraat stadsinwaarts afboog.

Description
An eighteenth-century carriage house with dwelling above on a strongly angled ground plan, consisting of two storeys with flattened gabled roof perpendicular to the street with front hipped section.
The wide cornice-topped facade at the front has retained its two substantial carriage entrance doors with old doors and contains on the left a narrow door, with moulding with bevelled upper corners, serving the dwelling above. The fairly closed upper storey has only two windows.
The building lies with its narrow rear facade against the slope of the rampart wall of the outer city canal which closes off the ground floor. The upper storey lies free above the rampart and is two bays wide.
Besides and between the two windows there are three pilasters. The line of pediment and sides is emphasized by a drip moulding. Although the roof is flattened, the rear facade is crowned by an entirely wooden mansard gable-top in Empire style.
The building is part of a row built against the rampart wall, a special situation which was possible because the 'city lane', which followed the city side of the rampart wall, curved inland to the city at Nobeldwarsstraat.
The building is of architectural and historical importance.
