In 1645, of kort daarna, gebouwde kamerwoning, bestaande uit een bouwlaag met de kap evenwijdig aan de straat.
Het betreft hier een pand dat gebouwd is na de aanleg van de Nieuwe Kamp in 1645. Voor deze doorbraak moesten een aantal van de kameren aan de Schalkwijkstraat worden afgebroken. Ter compensatie werden er nieuwe kamerwoningen aan de Nieuwe Kamp gebouwd. In feite behoord dit huis bij het complex Schalkwijkstraat 6 - 22 (de Kameren van Jan van Campen). Het huis is vrijwel gaaf bewaard; het casco met een enkelvoudige balklaag met enige sleutelstukken en de originele kap. De deur en vensters dateren uit de 18e eeuw.
Het pand is van bouwhistorisch belang en tevens van belang in relatie tot Schalkwijkstraat 6 -22.

A chamber dwelling built in 1645, or shortly thereafter, consisting of one storey with the roof parallel to the street.
This is a building constructed after the laying out of Nieuwe Kamp in 1645. For this opening a number of the chambers on Schalkwijkstraat had to be demolished. As compensation, new chamber dwellings were built on Nieuwe Kamp. In fact this house belongs to the complex Schalkwijkstraat 6-22 (the Chambers of Jan van Campen). The house is fairly well preserved; the frame with a simple joist layer with some key-pieces and the original roof. The door and windows date from the 18th century.
The building is of building-historical importance and is also important in relation to Schalkwijkstraat 6-22.
