Omschrijving
Pand van middeleeuwse oorsprong bestaande uit drie bouwlagen, een kap loodrecht op de straat en verschillende kelders, onder andere een werfkelder.
Op de middeleeuwse situatie duiden nu nog de kelders met een hoog tongewelf, die onder de lijnmarkt doorlopen tot aan de Oudegracht, en de beide zijmuren.
Het huis zelf is ingrijpend verbouwd en bezit thans een 19e eeuws uiterlijk. Het meest opvallend hiervan is de winkelpui met karyatiden. Voorts stucplafonds en wandversiering op de verdieping en het trappehuis.
Het pand is van bouwhistorisch belang voor wat betreft de middeleeuwse delen, met name de middeleeuwse kelders, en in verband met de gehele, opmerkelijke, kelderstructuur van de Lijnmarkt. Het is van architectonisch belang voor wat betreft de 19e eeuwse voorgevel en het interieur.

Property of medieval origin consisting of three storeys, a roof truss perpendicular to the street and various cellars, including a shipyard cellar.
