Omschrijving
Middeleeuws hoekpand van twee bouwlagen met zadeldak (met rechts een schild) evenwijdig aan de straat.
Het pand is vier vakken breed en blijkens sleutelstukken, met eenvoudige gemenageerde peerkraal, boven de beganegrond en verdieping stamt het pand uit de 15e eeuw.
De onbeschoten kap rust op drie eiken gebinten met krommers.
De lijstgevel van vier traveeën breed is gepleisterd met natuursteen imitatie. De rechter gevel, aan de Rietsteeg, is blind.
Op het terrein tussen Korte Rietsteeg en Wittevrouwenstraat werd in 1542 een klokkegieterij gevestigd door Jan Tolhuis, in 1576 overgenomen door Thomas Both. In 1520 woonde op dit erf al klokgieter Hendrik Egbertsz de Borch, mogelijk in het pand Keizerstraat 47-49. Bij opgravingen in 1980 werden ten noorden van dit pand sporen van een gieterij gevonden. Bovendien werd een buitentrap naar de kelder van Keizerstraat 49 gevonden.
Het pand is van bouwhistorisch belang.

Description
Medieval corner building of two storeys with saddle roof (with a shield on the right) parallel to the street.
The building is four bays wide and from key-blocks, with simple dressed pear-bead, above the ground floor and upper storey the building dates from the fifteenth century.
The exposed roof truss rests on three oak trusses with curved timbers.
The cornice-topped facade of four bays wide is plastered with natural stone imitation. The right facade, on the Rietsteeg, is blind.
On the site between Korte Rietsteeg and Wittevrouwenstraat a bell-foundry was established in 1542 by Jan Tolhuis, taken over in 1576 by Thomas Both. In 1520 bell-founder Hendrik Egbertsz de Borch lived on this plot, possibly in the building Keizerstraat 47-49. During excavations in 1980 traces of a foundry were found to the north of this building. In addition, an external stair to the cellar of Keizerstraat 49 was found.
The building is of building-historical importance.
