Rij van vier "Zocher panden" die in feite verbouwde gebouwen zijn van het Begijnehof.
Van oorsprong is dit een der conventsgebouwen. Het werd in 1843 in het kader der Zocher-verbouwingen aan de Asch van Wijckskade en naaste omgeving verbouwd tot vier witgepleisterde neo-classicistische woonhuizen.
Ze kregen een tweebeukige opzet met zadeldaken evenwijdig aan de straat.
De voorgevels van deze panden van twee bouwlagen hebben voor de zolders lage ramen die met de waterlijst eronder een mezzanino vormen. Hierboven ligt een geprofileerde kroonlijst. De onderdorpels van de vensters zijn verbonden tot een waterlijst. Tussen de bovenzijden der vensters vormt een geprofileerde lijst de bekroning der muurdammen die hierdoor het aanzien van pilasters krijgen. De gevels hebben aan de onderzijde een hardstenen plint. De voordeuren hebben een geprofileerde omlijsting die rond de bovenliggende ramen terugkomt, op de verdieping met rechthoekige versieringen in de hoeken.
Wijde Begijnestraat 15 is drie traveeën breed en heeft zijn deur links. Wijde Begijnestraat 17, drie traveeen breed, heeft zijn deur ook links, maar gekoppeld met die van nr. 19. Dezelfde koppeling komt ook voor in de omlijsting van de bovenliggende vensters. Hierdoor is het hele blok symmetrisch.
Wijde Begijnestraat 19 heeft boven zijn met 17 gekoppelde voordeur een zelfstandig hoofdgestel onder voluten.
Wijde Begijnestraat 21 heeft eenzelfde hoofdgestel boven zijn voordeur die rechts in de gevel zit.
Waarschijnlijk is het gebouw Wijde Begijnestraat 15-21 het oude Groothuis van het Begijnehof (Gesticht voor 1292), het eigenlijke conventsgebouw, dat in 1747 verkocht werd aan Guillaume Rossignol.
Het betreft hier een blok van vier panden van architectonisch belang, mede in samenhang met aansluitende Zocherbebouwing. Bovendien tezamen met Wijde Begijnestraat 112-114 (de oude kapel) van belang als resten van het Begijnehof.

Row of four "Zocher properties" which are in fact converted buildings from the Begijnehof.
Originally this was one of the convent buildings. In 1843, as part of the Zocher conversions on the Asch van Wijckskade and surrounding area, it was converted into four whitewashed neo-classical residential houses.
They were given a two-aisle layout with gabled roofs parallel to the street.
The front facades of these two-storey properties have low windows for the attics which, together with the drip moulding below them, form a mezzanine. Above this lies a moulded cornice. The sills of the windows are connected to form a drip moulding. Between the tops of the windows a moulded band forms the coping of the wall piers, which thereby acquire the appearance of pilasters. The facades have a stone plinth at the bottom. The front doors have a moulded frame which continues around the windows above them, on the storey with rectangular ornaments in the corners.
Wijde Begijnestraat 15 is three bays wide and has its door on the left. Wijde Begijnestraat 17, three bays wide, also has its door on the left, but coupled with that of no. 19. The same coupling also appears in the framing of the windows above. As a result the whole block is symmetrical.
Wijde Begijnestraat 19 has above its door coupled with 17 an independent head-piece under volutes.
Wijde Begijnestraat 21 has a similar head-piece above its door which is situated on the right of the facade.
