In de 17e eeuw tot woningen verbouwde middeleeuwse kloosterschuur, behorende bij het Abraham Doleklooster.
Het Abraham Doleklooster was het in het begin van de 15e eeuw gestichte vrouwenklooster van Sint Ursula en haar elf duizend maagden. Dit klooster besloeg vrijwel het gehele blok tussen Oudegracht, Lange Nieuwstraat, Hamburgerstraat en Abraham Dolesteeg. Aan de steeg lagen twee schuren waarvan nr 10 er een is. De oudste fase komt tot uiting in de linker zijgevel en de achtergevel. In de 17e eeuw werd het gebouw verbouwd tot woningen waarbij de balklaag boven de beganegrond lijkt te zijn aangebracht, zodat het gebouw een verdieping kreeg. In 1984 werd deze verdieping bij renovatie weer verwijderd.
Het pand is van groot historisch belang als onderdeel van een van de voor Utrecht karakteristieke kloostercomplexen.

Description
A medieval convent barn converted into dwellings in the 17th century, belonging to the Abraham Dole Convent.
The Abraham Dole Convent was a women's convent of Sint Ursula and her eleven thousand virgins founded in the early 15th century. This convent occupied nearly the entire block between Oudegracht, Lange Nieuwstraat, Hamburgerstraat and Abraham Dolesteeg. Two barns lay on the lane, of which no. 10 is one of them. The oldest phase is expressed in the left side wall and the back wall. In the 17th century the building was converted into dwellings whereby the floor level above the ground floor appears to have been installed, so that the building gained a storey. In 1984 this storey was removed again during renovation.
The building is of great historical importance as part of one of the convent complexes characteristic of Utrecht.
