Omschrijving
Voormalige Brandehofsmolen, gesticht in 1818 als windkorenmolen en na brand herbouwd in 1846 als koren- en pelmolen. In 1909 werd een benzinemotor geplaatst. Bij de verbouwing tot mechanische maalderij, in de loop van de twintigste eeuw, zijn gaande werk, stelling, kap, wiekenkruis en kruiwerk verwijderd. De jongere aanbouwen aan de achterzijde van de molen vallen buiten de bescherming.
Molen bestaande uit een hoge uit rode baksteen opgemetselde achtkante romp op een relatief hoge plint van Bentheimer zandsteen en een met riet bekleed eikehouten achtkant; deuren, ramen en luiken zijn niet alle oorspronkelijk en van verschillende maat en detaillering; staafankers. Description
Former Brandehofsmolen, founded in 1818 as a wind grain mill and after a fire rebuilt in 1846 as a grain and hulling mill. In 1909 a petrol engine was installed. During the conversion to mechanical mill, in the course of the twentieth century, the running works, staging, roof structure, sails and turning mechanism were removed. The younger additions at the rear of the mill fall outside the protection.
Mill consisting of a tall octagonal drum constructed of red brick on a relatively high plinth of Bentheimer sandstone and an oak octagonal clad with reeds; doors, windows and shutters are not all original and of varying size and detailing; rod anchors. In the corners of the drum blocks of Bentheimer sandstone are incorporated; before the entrance lies a flight of steps of Bentheimer sandstone; to the left of the entrance is located a double commemorative stone of Bentheimer sandstone on stone consoles consisting of two climbing lions holding a crowned shield with inscription: L B 1818 (Lambert Brandehof) and below a stone with inscription:
"to the glory of god aloneto the benefit of everyoneand the advantage of us bothit was that we resttedof no evil awarethe first stone here laid"
