Omschrijving
Tot het jaar 1700 maakte dit HOEKPAND met verdieping deel uit van de zogenoemde Hof van Ittersum, een complexe adellijke stadswoning. Het met een tongewelf onderkelderde huis is zes (moer)balkvakken diep. De nok van de eiken kapconstructie met 7 spanten loopt evenwijdig aan de Rode Leeuwsteeg. Het casco van het pand dateert waarschijnlijk uit de 15de eeuw. In de zijgevel aan de steeg is rechts van het midden een dichtgemetseld kloostervenster te zien dat door een eveneens dichtgemetselde deur met een korfboog wordt doorsneden. Meer links bevinden zich sporen van twee jongere kruisvensters die door segmentbogen met blokken zandsteen worden gedekt. Op de eerste verdieping tonen de uiterste balkvakken van de zijgevel dichtgezette, enkelvoudige vensteropeningen. Het gepleisterde bovendeel van de voorgevel bevat twee vensterassen met zesruits schuiframen op de verdieping en lage mezzanini-vensters ter plaatse van de zolder. De rechte houten kroonlijst wordt gesteund door 5 forse consoles. Deze onderdelen dateren uit de 19de eeuw. De onderpui is van 1933 en strekt zich met een venster ook over een deel van de zijgevel uit. Het ontwerp met naar binnen neigende, betegelde vlakken en portiek is van de Zwolse architect G. Th. Ruberg in opdracht van 'Maison Flint'. De onderpui heeft een horizontale geleding in de vorm van een lijst boven de voormalige etalages en daarboven ramen met kleine, deels gekleurde ruiten. Aan het binnenterrein, rechts achter tegen het pand staat een gepleisterde aanbouw met verdieping en lessenaarsdak, mogelijk daterend uit de 16de eeuw. Als deel van een middeleeuws adellijk complex heeft dit onderkelderde 15de-eeuwse huis met achteraanbouw een bijzondere historische waarde. De voorgevel kreeg in de 19de eeuw een rechte kroonlijst met schuifvensters en pleistering, terwijl de onderpui van 1933 een gaaf voorbeeld van lokale art-deco vormgeving is.

Description
Until the year 1700 this CORNER BUILDING with storey formed part of the so-called Hof van Ittersum, a complex noble town house. The house, with a barrel vault in the cellar, is six (timber) bays deep. The ridge of the oak roof truss structure with 7 trusses runs parallel to the Rode Leeuwsteeg. The shell of the building probably dates from the 15th century. In the side gable at the alley, to the right of the centre, a bricked-up monastery window can be seen, intersected by an equally bricked-up door with a basket arch. Further to the left are traces of two later cross windows covered by segmental arches with blocks of sandstone. On the first storey the outermost bays of the side gable show bricked-up, simple window openings. The plastered upper part of the front gable contains two window axes with six-light sash windows on the storey and low mezzanine windows at the level of the attic. The straight wooden cornice is supported by 5 substantial consoles. These components date from the 19th century. The shop front is from 1933 and extends with a window also over part of the side gable. The design with inward-leaning, tiled surfaces and portico is by the Zwolle architect G. Th. Ruberg on behalf of 'Maison Flint'. The shop front has a horizontal articulation in the form of a moulding above the former display windows and above that windows with small, partly coloured panes. On the inner courtyard, to the right at the rear against the building stands a plastered extension with storey and half-hipped roof, possibly dating from the 16th century. As part of a medieval noble complex, this cellared 15th-century house with rear extension has special historical value. The front gable received in the 19th century a straight cornice with sash windows and plasterwork, while the shop front of 1933 is a fine example of local art-deco design.
