HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG, bestaande uit drie delen. Rondom het huis een park in landschapsstijl door Lucas Pieters Roodbaard rond circa 1845 ontworpen, bestaande uit: een ruim gazon voor (ten zuiden van) het huis met enkele solitairen (beuk), dat door een strook Rhododendrons van de Van Harinxmaweg wordt afgescheiden. Aan de zuidzijde van het huis zijn aan de hand van de taludvorming van de grasmat nog enkele sporen zichtbaar van een verdwenen geometrische terrassen-aanleg uit het begin van deze eeuw. Verder vanuit het zuidwesten, vanaf de Van Harinxmaweg een oprit met gebogen verloop naar de westgevel van het huis; ten noorden van het huis een geaccidenteerde aanleg in landschapsstijl, met slingervijver, omgeven door open ruimten met solitairen (beuk en eik) en heesters (Rhododendrons) en bosgedeelten (beuk, naaldhout en eik) en door slingerpaden doorsneden. Aan de NW-zijde van het gazon achter het huis bevindt zich het gedeeltelijk bewaarde ovale omgrenzingsplan van een negentiende-eeuwse bleek, die omgeven wordt door een gedeeltelijk bewaard gebleven beukenhaag in de vorm van een halve ovaal. Het Roodbaard-park wordt doorkruist door een rechte oprijlaan met eiken in enkel-verband. Ten oosten van deze laan het gedeelte met aan de zuidzijde een komvormige weide, omgeven door bomen en heesters en fragmenten van een aanleg van slingerpaden. Ten noorden van de weide de omgrenzing in landschapsstijl van de voormalige moestuin en boomgaard.
Aan de overzijde van de Van Harinxmaweg, ten zuiden van het huis, het "overpark", bestaande uit een rechthoekige weide met enkele solitairen, die in visueel opzicht vanuit het huis in de aanleg in landschapsstijl een belangrijke open rol vervult.
Het ten noorden van de Van Harinxmaweg gelegen Roodbaard-park is gelegen in een ruim geometrisch lanenstelsel van eik en beuk in enkel-verband, dat is aangelegd ter ontsluiting, omlijsting en geleding van de tot de historische buitenplaats behorende agrarische- en bospercelen. HISTORICAL GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT, consisting of three parts. Around the house a park in landscape style designed by Lucas Pieters Roodbaard around circa 1845, consisting of: a spacious lawn in front of (to the south of) the house with several solitary trees (beech), which is separated from the Van Harinxmaweg by a strip of Rhododendrons. On the south side of the house, traces are still visible in the slope formation of the grass area of a vanished geometric terraced layout from the beginning of this century. Further from the southwest, from the Van Harinxmaweg a drive with curved course to the west facade of the house; to the north of the house an undulating layout in landscape style, with a winding pond, surrounded by open spaces with solitary trees (beech and oak) and shrubs (Rhododendrons) and wooded sections (beech, coniferous and oak) and intersected by winding paths. On the NW side of the lawn behind the house is the partially preserved oval boundary plan of a nineteenth-century bleaching ground, which is surrounded by a partially preserved beech hedge in the form of a half oval. The Roodbaard park is crossed by a straight drive lined with oaks in single file. To the east of this lane the section with on the south side a bowl-shaped meadow, surrounded by trees and shrubs and fragments of a layout of winding paths. To the north of the meadow the boundary in landscape style of the former vegetable garden and orchard.
On the other side of the Van Harinxmaweg, to the south of the house, the "overpark", consisting of a rectangular meadow with several solitary trees, which visually fulfils an important open role from the house in the landscape-style layout.
The Roodbaard park located to the north of the Van Harinxmaweg is situated in a spacious geometric lane system of oak and beech in single file, which was laid out for the opening up, framing and articulation of the agricultural and wooded parcels belonging to the historical country estate. The boundary plan of this lane system, which consists of a lane edge provided with ditches on both sides (beech and oak in single file), forms a rectangular figure. Originally this lane system and these agricultural wooded parcels belonged to an estate from the beginning of the nineteenth century or from the eighteenth century, whose existence precedes the history of Harinxmastate and whose layout from around circa 1850 in its entirety forms part of the historical layout of Harinxmastate.
