KEERMUREN VAN DE FORMELE KOM. Uitgeschulpte keermuren in rode baksteen van de formele kom uit ca. 1730. Vanuit het huis gezien heeft deze kom een beëindiging in de vorm van een ruime spiegelboog; aan weerszijden van deze boog zwenken de keermuren haaks, voluutvormig en rechthoekig in en uit tot de grotendeels rechte voorzijde van de kom, die alleen in het centrum een kleine spiegelboogvormige uitstulping heeft. De kom wordt geheel door een bestrating van rode klinkers omgeven. Aan de zij(ZW- en NO-)kanten van de kom bevindt zich een bakstenen trap met laag muurwerk aan weerszijden. De ligging van de kom geert iets ten aanzien van de as van het huis, een geometrische onnauwkeurigheid, die door enkele 18e-eeuwse rijen linden tussen huis en kom wordt verbloemd. De keermuren zijn omstreeks 1960 voor een groot deel opnieuw opgemetseld, nadat de fundamenten bij een opknapbeurt van de kom weer bloot kwamen te liggen. De muren werden in 1990 wederom gerestaureerd.

Description
ABUTMENT WALLS OF THE FORMAL POOL. Scalloped abutment walls in red brick of the formal pool from c. 1730. Viewed from the house, this pool has a termination in the form of a spacious mirror arch; on either side of this arch, the abutment walls turn at right angles, scrolling and rectangular in and out to the largely straight front of the pool, which only in the centre has a small mirror-arch-shaped bulge. The pool is completely surrounded by paving of red clinkers. On the side (SW and NE) sides of the pool there is a brick staircase with low masonry on either side. The position of the pool deviates slightly from the axis of the house, a geometric inaccuracy that is concealed by several 18th century rows of linden trees between the house and the pool. The abutment walls were largely rebuilt around 1960, after the foundations were exposed again during renovation of the pool. The walls were restored again in 1990.
