Een vierkant bakstenen POORTGEBOUW van drie geledingen met weergang en vier spietorens op de hoeken. De kern dateert uit XIVa, een verbouwing van de bovenbouw vond plaats plm 1500, terwijl het gebouw door een herstelling d.d. 1774 zijn huidige gedaante kreeg. Klokkenspel, waarvan 12 klokken werden gegoten door P. van den Gheyn (I) 1550/53/54. Trommelspeelwerk uit ca. 1554, met trommel uit ca. 1950.

Description
A square brick GATEHOUSE of three sections with a rampart walk and four spire towers at the corners. The core dates from the first half of the 14th century, a rebuilding of the upper storey took place around 1500, while the building through a restoration dated 1774 acquired its present appearance. Carillon, of which 12 bells were cast by P. van den Gheyn (I) 1550/53/54. Drum mechanism from circa 1554, with drum from circa 1950.
