FARMHOUSE IN OUTER PARK. Cellared hall-house-type farmhouse on rectangular ground plan in red brick (stretcher-bond brickwork), from the second half of the 18th century. The farmhouse is covered with a thatched gabled roof with red ridge tiles, with mitring at the level of the transition from the dwelling house (east side) to the barn (west side), from which point the roof slates are drawn down lower. On the front (east) side the farmhouse is closed off by a spout gable. Dwelling house section: at the north-east corner the cellared upper room with a double casement window with sixteen-pane glazing with shutters on the north side and two identical windows with shutters on the front. On the north facade below the upper room two cellar windows with security bars and shutters and on the front a double cellar window with security bars and shutters, also below the upper room. Left on the front facade on ground floor a cross window with windows with 6-pane glazing and in the upper lights windows with 4-pane glazing. On first floor a double casement 16-pane window with shutters and 5-pane fanlight. South side: three six-pane sash windows with shutters. The entrance is situated on the north side between the barn and upper room and consists of a door with 2-pane fanlight. Barn section: on north and south side three windows with 6-pane glazing. Since shortly after 1815, when a landscape-style layout was realised at Sterreschans, the farmhouse has formed the nucleus of a 'ferme ornée'.
