Vroeg 20e eeuws bakhuis in de vorm van twee in elkaars verlengde liggende rechthoekige ruimten onder aansluitende zadeldaken met verschillende nokhoogten.
Het bakhuis is gesitueerd op een ten opzichte van de weg hoger gelegen terrein even buiten de kern van het dorp nabij een groep beschermde opstallen van in vakwerk uitgevoerde woon- en bedrijfsgebouwen, die dateren van de 17e tot de 19e eeuw.
Het in rode baksteen opgetrokken bouwwerk heeft de in Zuid Limburg reeds zeldzaam geworden vorm van twee ineenlopende ruimten, waarvan de voorste groter en hoger is (hier wordt het gerei bewaard, dat benodigd is bij het bakken) dan de achterste ruimte, waarin de bakoven is gebouwd die vanuit de voorste ruimte kan worden gestookt; de schoorsteen bevindt zich op het rechte dakvlak van laatstgenoemde ruimte; de buitenmuren van de achterste ruimte kennen geen openingen, die van de voorste ruimte hebben een houten toegangsdeur in de voorgevel en een venster (met vierdeling) dat bij een recente renovatie is aangebracht; bij die renovatie zijn ook windveren langs beide met rode pannen gedekte zadeldaken geplaatst.
Het vroeg 20e eeuwse bakhuis is zowel vanwege de zeldzaamheid van de twee gekoppelde ruimten met daarin de authentieke bakoven, alsook vanwege de situering nabij de groep reeds beschermde vakwerkhuizen en stallen van een zodanige architectuurhistorische waarde, dat een bescherming op Rijksniveau gerechtvaardigd is te achten.

Description
Early 20th century bakehouse in the form of two rectangular spaces lying in each other's extension under adjoining gabled roofs with different ridge heights.
The bakehouse is situated on terrain higher than the road, just outside the core of the village near a group of protected outbuildings of timber-framed residential and commercial buildings, which date from the 17th to the 19th century.
The building constructed in red brick has the form, already rare in South Limburg, of two adjoining spaces, of which the front one is larger and higher (here the equipment needed for baking is kept) than the rear space, in which the baking oven is built which can be stoked from the front space; the chimney is located on the straight roof surface of the latter space; the outer walls of the rear space have no openings, those of the front space have a wooden entrance door in the front gable and a window (with four divisions) that was installed during a recent renovation; during that renovation roof edges were also placed along both gabled roofs covered with red tiles.
The early 20th-century bakehouse is of such architectural-historical value, both on account of the rarity of the two coupled spaces with the authentic baking oven therein, as well as on account of the location near the group of already protected timber-framed houses and stables, that protection at national level is considered justified.
