Omschrijving
Monumentaal GASTHUIS uit het laatste kwart der 18e eeuw van parterre met twee verdiepingen, ter breedte van vijf assen. De bakstenen lijstgevel heeft een hardstenen plint, een middenrisaliet en een kroonlijst met houten fronton. De getoogde dubbele deur wordt omvat door Dorische zuiltjes, die een hoofdgestel met metopen en triglyphen in het fries dragen. Boven de ingang een in Lodewijk XVI-vormen omlijst venster, omgeven door drie wapenschilden aan weerszijden. De vensters hebben 15- en zesruitsramen. De gevel bezit geblokte hoeklisenen. Rechts van het pand een bakstenen portaal met getoogde deur en kroonlijst uit de eerste helft der 19e eeuw. Description
Monumental HOSPICE from the last quarter of the 18th century with ground floor and two storeys, spanning five bays. The brick cornice-topped facade has a sandstone plinth, a central projection and a cornice with wooden pediment. The arched double door is framed by Doric columns carrying a pediment with metopes and triglyphs in the frieze. Above the entrance a window framed in Louis XVI forms, surrounded by three escutcheons on either side. The windows have 15- and 6-paned frames. The facade has blocked corner pilasters. To the right of the building a brick portal with arched door and cornice from the first half of the 19th century. A similar portal on the left side was demolished for a recent expansion of the hospital.
