Omschrijving
"HUIS van Johan van Rossem". Overblijfsel van het uit het derde kwart van de 16e eeuw daterende stadspaleis van Johan van Rossem, broer van de maarschalk Marten van Rossem. Het door een uitgestrekte tuin omgeven pand bestaat uit de benedenverdieping van een gedeelte van het vroegere stadspaleis en bezit boven de vensters nog twee geblokte en geprofileerde ontlastingsbogen op kopjes, terwijl in de boogvelden de uitstekende koppen van een vrouw en een man zijn aangebracht. Hierboven een geprofileerde waterlijst met gebeeldhouwd kopje in het midden. Deuromlijsting met verdiepte pilasters en hoofdgestel, 18e eeuw. Hierboven een wapen met helmbekroning en lofwerk, geflankeerd door twee hermen. De tuin wordt van het Kerkplein gescheiden door een langgerekte muur, waarin een bakstenen poortje met Dorische pilasters en houten hoofdgestel, eerste helft 19e eeuw.

Description
"HOUSE of Johan van Rossem". Remains of the city palace of Johan van Rossem, brother of the marshal Marten van Rossem, dating from the third quarter of the 16th century. The property, surrounded by an extensive garden, consists of the ground floor of a part of the former city palace and has above the windows two blocked and moulded relieving arches on consoles, while in the arch fields the projecting heads of a woman and a man are placed. Above this a moulded drip moulding with sculptured head in the middle. Door surround with recessed pilasters and pediment, 18th century. Above this an escutcheon with helmet crest and ornament, flanked by two herms. The garden is separated from the Kerkplein by an elongated wall, in which a brick gateway with Doric pilasters and wooden pediment, first half of the 19th century.
