Omschrijving
In oorsprong uit ca. 1590 daterende, achtkante bovenkruier, gebouwd als poldermolen ten behoeve van de Slootgaardpolder; in 1866 voorzien van een gietijzeren haspelkruis met decoratie, voorstellende een rode ster op een wit fond, ter vervanging van een ouder haspelkruis van hout; in 1926 is de molen, waarvan kap en romp met riet gedekt zijn, van de wieken ontdaan.
Karakteristieke, vrij in het weidelandschap gelegen, Noord-Hollandse poldermolenromp van algemeen belang wegens de aanwezigheid van het zeldzame haspelkruis.

Description
Originally dating from circa 1590, an octagonal upper windmiller, built as a polder mill for the benefit of the Slootgaardpolder; in 1866 provided with a cast-iron pump wheel cross with decoration, depicting a red star on a white background, in replacement of an older pump wheel cross of wood; in 1926 the mill, of which cap and hull are thatched with reed, was deprived of its sails.
Characteristic North-Holland polder mill hull, freely situated in the meadowland, of general importance because of the presence of the rare pump wheel cross.
