Omschrijving
THEEHUISJE.
Terzijde van het hoofdgebouw staat een vermoedelijk in het eerste kwart van de 20e eeuw opgetrokken met stammetjes bekleed en door een rieten kapje met loden piron gedekt theehuisje met overdekt terras. In de beide zijgevels een houten rondboograam; de overkapping over het terras gesteund door houten standvinkjes.
Het theehuisje zal zijn gebouwd door een der Enschedese katoenfabrikanten Jannink als onderkomen bij de in eigen bezit zijnde, indertijd ver buiten de stad gelegen, pachtboerderij, waarmee het past in de traditie der eind-19e- en vroeg-20e-eeuwse nog in de stad wonende Twentse (textiel)fabrikanten om tijdens het weekeinde, bij voorkeur op eigen terrein, buiten te verpozen; een traditie die zou uitmonden in de permanent te bewonen Twentse fabrikanten buitenplaats in parkachtige aanleg.

Description
TEA HOUSE.
Besides the main building stands a tea house presumably erected in the first quarter of the 20th century, clad with small logs and covered by a thatched canopy with lead finial, with a covered terrace. In both side facades a wooden round-arch window; the terrace covering supported by wooden bracket posts.
The tea house was likely built by one of the Enschede cotton manufacturers Jannink as an outbuilding for the tenant farm owned at the time, located far outside the city, fitting in with the tradition of late-19th- and early-20th-century Twente textile manufacturers still living in the city to spend weekends away from the city, preferably on their own grounds; a tradition that would develop into the permanently inhabited Twente manufacturers' country house in park-like grounds.
