Naar ontwerp van W. Noorlander in 1915-'16 gebouwde vrijstaande VILLA, genaamd EIKENHOVEN, met bijbehorende tuinmuur, hekwerken en garagegebouw in Amsterdamse School-trant. De met gevarieerd metselwerk uitgevoerde villa - waarvan de naam Eikenhoven in siersmeedwerk boven de entree is aangebracht - telt twee bouwlagen en een hoge kapverdieping, gedekt met rode pannen.
In zowel exterieur als interieur is in diverse variaties een zigzag-motief herhaald, dat vooral in allerlei details is terug te vinden, zoals in het metselwerk bij de entree, in lambrizeringen, omlijstingen, kozijnen, glas-in-loodvensters, de uitwendige schoorsteenpartijen en de hekwerken.
De a-symmetrische plattegrond, waarin de hoge, centrale hal op de beganegrond het kruispunt van twee hoofd-assen vormt, is vrijwel ongewijzigd gebleven. Alle kamers zijn onderling verbonden, zowel beneden als op de verdieping. De meeste vertrekken zijn bovendien voorzien van een serre of balcon, zodat het huis geheel is afgestemd op het "buiten wonen".
Terwijl de hal een balken-plafond heeft, zijn de overige woon- en slaapvertrekken afgedekt door een stuc-plafond met geometrisch motief. In de hal bevindt zich verder een smeedijzeren haard uit de bouwtijd; in de benedenvertrekken zijn eenvoudige zwartmarmeren schouwen aangebracht.
In het trappenhuis en bij de entree bevinden zich grote, overwegend paars getinte, glas-in-loodvensters met geometrische en zig-zag-motieven.
Bij een slaapvertrek en in de badkamer is nog het oorspronkelijke marmeren sanitair aanwezig.
Aan de voorzijde van het huis een bijbehorende tuinmuur met smeedijzeren voetinghek in expressionistische trant.
Aan de achterzijde een bijbehorende bakstenen garage onder flauw hellend zadeldak, waarbij muren en dubbele deuren zijn voorzien van expressionistische details.
In vroege Amsterdamse Schooltrant opgetrokken villa, met bijbehorend interieur, hekwerk en garagegebouw van algemeen belang wegens architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde, alsook gelet op de situering, deel uitmakend van de "Stichtse Lustwarande".

Description
Designed by W. Noorlander and built in 1915-'16, a detached VILLA, named EIKENHOVEN, with associated garden wall, fencing and garage building in Amsterdam School style. The villa, executed with varied brickwork - the name Eikenhoven of which is applied in decorative metalwork above the entrance - has two storeys and a high roof space, covered with red tiles.
In both exterior and interior, a zigzag motif is repeated in various variations, which is especially found back in all kinds of details, such as in the brickwork at the entrance, in wainscoting, frames, windows, stained-glass windows, the external chimney sections and the fencing.
The a-symmetrical groundplan, in which the high, central hall on the ground floor forms the intersection of two main axes, has remained virtually unchanged. All rooms are interconnected, both downstairs and on the upper floor. Moreover, most rooms are provided with a conservatory or balcony, so that the house is entirely oriented to "outdoor living".
While the hall has a timber ceiling, the other living and sleeping rooms are covered by a stucco ceiling with geometric motif. In the hall there is moreover a wrought-iron fireplace from the time of construction; in the downstairs rooms simple black marble mantels have been installed.
In the stairwell and at the entrance there are large, predominantly purple-tinted, stained-glass windows with geometric and zig-zag motifs.
At a bedroom and in the bathroom the original marble sanitary ware is still present.
At the front of the house an associated garden wall with wrought-iron foot railing in expressionist style.
At the rear an associated brick garage under a gently sloping gabled roof, with walls and double doors provided with expressionist details.
A villa constructed in early Amsterdam School style, with associated interior, fencing and garage building of general significance owing to its architectural and cultural-historical value, as well as given its situation, forming part of the "Stichtse Lustwarande".
