In oorsprong bij de buitenplaats Vecht en Dijk behorende gietijzeren THEEKOEPEL op ongelijkzijdige achthoekige grondslag ten dele overhangend over de Vecht gebouwd onder overstekend ingezwenkt tentdak, blijkens inscriptie vervaardigd door Nering Bögel & Co. te Deventer in 1861.
De in eclectische trant uitgevoerde, witgeverfde theekoepel wordt geleed door slanke Corinthische zuilen op de hoeken, waartussen vierruits-schuifvensters met afgeronde bovenhoeken en rozet-achtige ornamenten bij de roeden; de sokkels zijn eveneens voorzien van rozet-achtige ornamenten in een ruitvormig patroon. De dubbele ingangsdeuren in de brede landzijde bevatten in de panelen aan de onderzijde neo-barokke elementen.
Het met lood bedekte tentdak heeft een vaasvormige bekroning en een geornamenteerde daklijst met hangend a-jourwerk met neobarokke motieven. Inwendig zijn houten vloerdelen aangebracht.
Het overhangend theekoepel-gedeelte wordt ondersteund door een eenvoudige houten steigerwerk.

Description
Originally belonging to the country estate Vecht en Dijk, a cast-iron TEA HOUSE on an unequal octagonal ground plan partly overhanging the Vecht built under an overhanging angled tent roof, according to inscription manufactured by Nering Bögel & Co. in Deventer in 1861.
The tea house executed in an eclectic style, painted white, is articulated by slender Corinthian columns at the corners, between which four-pane sash windows with rounded top corners and rosette-like ornaments at the glazing bars; the plinths are also provided with rosette-like ornaments in a diamond-shaped pattern. The double entrance doors on the wide water-side contain neo-baroque elements in the lower panels.
The lead-covered tent roof has a vase-shaped crown and an ornamented roof line with hanging open-work with neo-baroque motifs. The interior has wooden floor boards.
The overhanging tea house section is supported by a simple wooden framework.
Mid-nineteenth-century cast-iron tea house with rich detailing of general importance from the point of view of architectural, cultural-historical and typological value, as well as from the point of view of the development of material usage.
