Omschrijving
R.K. Kerk van St. Bartholomeus. Kerk in Waterstaatsstijl door E. de Kruyff uit 1837-1841. Fraaie driebeukige hallenkerk met jonische zuilen, merkwaardige voorgevel met trapsgewijze opvattingen bovenbouw en open, gekoepeld lantaarntje als bekroning, ingang omlijst door een fronton op dorische zuilen. Mooi gesneden preekstoel uit de bouwtijd, met de beelden van Christus en de Samaritaanse; altaarretabel met voorstelling van het Laatste Avondmaal en de beelden van de vier hogepriesters; rentabels aan de zij-altaren. Twee biechtstoelen uit omstreeks 1840, met frontons en de beelden van Petrus en David aan de ene, van Maria Magdalena en Maria Egyptiaca aan de andere. Gesneden eiken communiebanken, 1841. R.C. Church of St. Bartholomeus. Church in Waterstaatsstijl by E. de Kruyff from 1837-1841. Fine three-aisle hall church with Ionic columns, remarkable front facade with stepped-wise arrangement of the upper structure and open, domed lantern as crowning, entrance framed by a pediment on Doric columns. Beautifully carved pulpit from the building period, with figures of Christ and the Samaritan woman; altarpiece with representation of the Last Supper and figures of the four high priests; side altarpieces at the side altars. Two confessionals from around 1840, with pediments and figures of Peter and David on one, of Mary Magdalene and Mary of Egypt on the other. Carved oak communion rails, 1841. Originally a two-manual organ, made in 1846 by F.B. Loret. In 1940 provided with electro-pneumatic action and extended with a free Pedal that falls outside the protection. Carved organ case and balustrade, also from the building period. The building has been restored.
