Each pavilion is built up from three richly articulated towers, of which the central one is broader and higher. The side towers of each pavilion consist of five segments placed on each other: the central towers of each pavilion of eight segments. In the lower half of the retable both pavilions are connected to each other by panels with gothic blind tracery and thus form a closed back wall.
