Omschrijving
Hotel Frederiksoord- voormalig logement. In aanleg vroeg 19e of eind 18e eeuws gebouw (voor 1818), dat oorspronkelijk slechts begane grond en kap omvatte en dienst deed als logement. Na de oprichting van de Maatschappij van Weldadigheid in 1818, werd in het gebouw ook de Directeurswoning ondergebracht; het Logement bleef echter ook bestaan. Van het 16 traveeën tellende gebouw werd (vermoedelijk nog XIX A) het middengedeelte met een bouwlaag verhoogd. Het witgepleisterde gebouw telt nog 16 traveeen en wordt gedekt door schilddaken, belegd met blauwe pannen en is voorzien van zesruitsschuifvensters, T-vensters en twee toegangsdeuren met bovenlicht; de deur- en vensteropeningen zijn voorzien van een eenvoudige geprofileerde omlijstingen, waarvan die der zeven traveeen rechts licht getoogd zijn. De dakkapel in het rechter dakschild is een recente toevoeging. Uitsluitend het 16 traveeen tellende bouwblok is van belang. Gebouw behorende tot de kolonie- gebouwen van de Maatschappij van Weldadigheid. Description
Hotel Frederiksoord – former lodging house. In layout an early 19th or late 18th century building (before 1818), originally comprising only ground floor and roof truss and serving as a lodging house. After the founding of the Maatschappij van Weldadigheid in 1818, the Director's residence was also housed in the building; the lodging house, however, remained. Of the building comprising 16 bays, the central section was raised by one storey (presumably still in the first half of the 19th century). The whitewashed building still has 16 bays and is covered by hipped roofs, laid with blue tiles and provided with six-light sash windows, T-windows and two entrance doors with fanlights; the door and window openings are provided with simple profiled surrounds, those of the seven bays on the right being slightly arched. The dormer in the right roof slope is a recent addition. Exclusively the building block comprising 16 bays is of significance. Building belonging to the colony buildings of the Maatschappij van Weldadigheid.
