Omschrijving
Drieledig, poortvormig TOEGANGSHEK, bestaande uit in neo-Lodewijk XIV-trant uitgevoerde hardstenen pijlers en in siersmeedwerk uitgevoerde bogen, waarbij in de grote middenboog de naam "Snouck van Loosenpark" door middel van uitgespaarde letters is aangegeven en de boog voorts is voorzien van een vergulde spruitvormige bekroning. De lage pijlers aan de zijden worden bekroond door gebeeldhouwde mutsen, terwijl de hoge middenpijlers aan de straatzijde elk zijn voorzien van een gebeeldhouwd cartouche met gekleurd familiewapenschild in reliëf en vergulde inscriptie, respectievelijk ter herinnering aan de eerste steenlegging in 1895 en aan de opening van het park in 1897; de middenpijlers worden voorts bekroond door kruisvormig geplaatste voluten met smeedijzeren lantaarns. Monumentaal toegangshek, deel uitmakend van het complex met monumentnummer 359693 en als zodanig van belang.

Description
Tripartite, gateway-form ACCESS GATE, consisting of hard stone pillars executed in neo-Louis XIV style and arches executed in ornamental ironwork, whereby in the large central arch the name "Snouck van Loosenpark" is indicated by means of cut-out letters and the arch is furthermore provided with a gilt foliate finial. The low side pillars are crowned by carved finials, while the high central pillars on the street side are each provided with a carved cartouche with coloured family coat of arms in relief and gilt inscription, respectively commemorating the laying of the first stone in 1895 and the opening of the park in 1897; the central pillars are furthermore crowned by volutes arranged in cross form with wrought-iron lanterns. Monumental access gate, forming part of the complex with national monument number 359693 and as such of significance.
