Omschrijving
Grote boerderij van het kop-hals-romptype, blijkens datumsteen in de voorste puntgevel herbouwd in 1813. Het voorste gedeelte van het voorhuis vormt een groot onderkelderd vertrek met kastenwand tegen de achterwand en schouw tegen de voorgevel. In het halsgedeelte is een gotische schouw aangebracht met twee wapenschilden: het Johannieterkruis en het wapen van Joh. Munter (gestorven 1461) commandeur van Kloosterwijtwerd. In de achterwand replica's van haardstenen, rond een origineel exemplaar gedateerd 1587. In de hall in het schuurgedeelte is een gebeeldhouwd reliëf ingemetseld voorstellende de kruisdragende Christus met Veronica; beneden twee wapenschilden, met het Johannieterkruis en een met de Franse lelie, die ook in het wapen van Joh. Description
Large farmhouse of the head-neck-body type, rebuilt in 1813 according to a datestone in the front stepped gable. The front section of the front house forms a large vaulted room with a cupboard wall against the rear wall and a chimney against the front facade. In the neck section a Gothic chimney has been installed with two coat-of-arms shields: the Hospitaller cross and the coat of arms of John Munter (died 1461) commander of Kloosterwijtwerd. In the rear wall replicas of hearth stones, around an original specimen dated 1587. In the hall in the barn section a sculptured relief is set in mortar depicting the cross-bearing Christ with Veronica; below two coat-of-arms shields, one with the Hospitaller cross and one with the French fleur-de-lis, which also appears in the coat of arms of John Munter. The garden is said to have been laid out on the site where the monastery stood. In the garden a private burial ground with a small chapel painted on wood and an entrance gate with bridge, 18th century. Gravestone for Evert Josten, died 1652.
