Omschrijving
Rooms Katholieke kerk. De R.K. kerk van de H. Laurentius is een eenbeukig gebouw uit de 14e eeuw, overwelfd door kruisribgewelven waarvan de kapitelen rusten op korte schalkstukken. De kerk en de tegen de zuidzijde gebouwde, eveneens 14e eeuwse, sacristie zijn in 1835-'40 met een boogfries verhoogd, waarna in 1872 een neogotische toren verrees ter plaatse van een vorige uit 1837. Het koor is volgens de Voorlopige Lijst in 1872 met oude steen opgetrokken in gotische trant.
De kerk bezit o.m. een preekstoel, twee koperen kaarsenkroontjes, 17e eeuw, en een gotische koperen kandelaar. Op een orgelgalerij uit het eerste kwart 19e eeuw een orgel met Hoofdwerk en Onderpositief, in 1865 gemaakt door F.C. Smits. In 1982 gerestaureerd door de fa. Vermeulen. Mechanisch torenuurwerk, Addicks (?), Amsterdam, 1922, later voorzien van elektrische opwinding.

Description
Roman Catholic church. The R.C. church of St. Laurentius is a single-aisle building from the 14th century, vaulted with cross-ribbed vaults of which the capitals rest on short corbels. The church and the sacristy built against the south side, also from the 14th century, were heightened in 1835-'40 with an arched frieze, after which in 1872 a neo-Gothic tower rose at the location of a previous one from 1837. The choir was according to the Provisional List erected in 1872 with old stone in Gothic manner.
The church possesses amongst others a pulpit, two brass candle crowns, 17th century, and a Gothic brass candelabra. On an organ gallery from the first quarter 19th century an organ with Great and Positive, made in 1865 by F.C. Smits. In 1982 restored by the firm Vermeulen. Mechanical tower clockwork, Addicks (?), Amsterdam, 1922, later provided with electrical winding.
