Omschrijving
HOOFDHUIS. De op een langgerekte plattegrond zonder verdieping opgetrokken villa bevindt zich op een verhoogd gedeelte van het rondom tot tuin ingerichte terrein en wordt afgedekt door een samenstel van platte daken met overstek, waarbij een smallere luifel aan de onderzijde nog meer oversteekt dan de hogere lijst daarboven, die alle sprongen in de plattegrond volgt.
De van een ruwe pleisterlaag voorziene baksteenmuren worden doorbroken door tuindeuren en vensters, veelal gekoppeld en van verschillend formaat, en van verschillende onderverdeling, al naar gelang de oorspronkelijke functie van het bijbehorend vertrek, zoals de vensters met horizontale onderverdeling bij de vroegere slaapkamers en de ongelede vensters bij de woonvertrekken. De ingang bevindt zich rechts van het midden tussen twee naar voren gebouwde dwarsvleugels aan een via een zes treden tellende stoep toegankelijk terras en bevat een dubbele deur met reliefbanden en vierkante venstertjes. Ter verlevendiging van de buitenmuren zijn ter afsluiting van de sokkel en onder de luifel donkere banden aangebracht, alsmede smalle tegelstroken, drievoudig bij de hoeken, tweevoudig bovenlangs de vensters, en afwisselend zwart/wit bij de ronde pijlers tussen de vensters aan de voorzijde van de linkervleugel en aan de achterzijde met vijfzijdig uitgebouwde erker, waarvan de bovenbouw in oorsprong in zwart/wit-blokpatroon was betegeld.
De vroegere pergola te rechterzijde is thans dichtgebouwd en valt evenals de recentere aanbouwen linksachter, buiten de bescherming.
In Wrightiaanse, horizontaliserende bouwtrant gerealiseerde villa van algemeen belang als tamelijk zeldzame representant van deze stroming in Nederland, mede gelet op de geografische spreiding, en derhalve van architectuur-historische waarde.

Description
MAIN HOUSE. The villa built on an elongated ground plan without a storey is situated on a raised part of the surrounding grounds laid out as a garden and is covered by an arrangement of flat roofs with overhangs, whereby a narrower canopy on the underside projects even more than the higher cornice above it, which follows all the breaks in the ground plan.
The brick walls with a rough plaster finish are broken through by garden doors and windows, mostly coupled and of different sizes, and of different glazing, depending on the original function of the adjoining room, such as the windows with horizontal glazing in the former bedrooms and the unglazed windows in the living spaces. The entrance is situated to the right of the centre between two forward-projecting transverse wings accessible via a terrace with six steps and contains a double door with relief bands and square small windows. To enliven the exterior walls dark bands have been applied to close off the base and under the canopy, as well as narrow tile strips, threefold at the corners, twofold along the windows, and alternating black/white at the round piers between the windows on the front of the left wing and on the rear side with a five-sided projecting bay window, whose upper construction was originally tiled in a black/white block pattern.
The former pergola on the right side is now filled in and falls, as do the more recent extensions on the rear left, outside the protection.
A villa realised in Wrightian, horizontalising building style of general importance as a fairly rare representative of this movement in the Netherlands, also considering the geographical distribution, and therefore of architectural-historical value.
